Latest COVID rules

Village Hall Chair Barbara Brewer writes:

As from Thursday, 27th January according to a government announcement, it is not a legal requirement to wear a face mask in the Village Hall.
We will still have two hand sanitisers for those that want to use them. It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure compliance with any regulations currently in place at the time of hiring the Village Hall and individual groups/hirers to decide on what their own requirements might be.

The Village Hall

The Village Hall

The Village Hall is an old Victorian building full of charm and character which was fully refurbished in 1999/2000. It is near the village sports field, the church, and a fantastic play-space where children of all ages can play in a stimulating and safe environment. There is sufficient off-road car parking for up to 80 vehicles.

The building has a large hall licensed for up to 140 people, a smaller meeting room that can double as a quiet room or dressing room, a well equipped kitchen, toilets and full disabled facilities and access.

It is used for a wide variety of activities, including theatrical and musical entertainment, dance tuition, badminton and other indoors sports, and as a meeting place for many clubs and societies. It is also the ideal venue for private parties, wedding receptions, seminars etc. with a public address system and loop for the hard of hearing.
