Sue King writes: Three local artists, Ben Downing, Sue King and Ann Moreland will be taking part in Oxfordshire Artweeks for North Oxfordshire during the week 4th to 12th May and you are most welcome to visit their pop-up gallery and exhibition at the Red Lion Pub, Southside, Steeple Aston.

Ben Downing, having worked outdoors for many years, has always enjoyed what every day has had to offer and has been inspired by nature and its changing moods. Ben enjoys drawing, mixed media and painting.

Ann Moreland isa lapsed art student returning to art class after a very long absence.  Ann is currently enjoying trying new mediums! She likes to study and try to express the colours of the sky, sea, landscape and flowers. This is her second Artweeks exhibition.

Sue King is interested in painting landscapes of New Zealand and experimenting with different media and tools – most recently with ‘Polyfilla’, bathroom sealant, rollers and packing materials for collage pieces, which is great fun, if a bit messy! Sue has turned many of her paintings into calendars and greeting cards, a selection of which will be available to purchase.
